Locnville Blasts onto the SA Music Scene!

This South African born and bred electro-hop music duo has sky-rocketed onto the happening music scene in SA. Twin brothers, Andrew and Brian Chaplin established the duo, Locnville in the Mother City of Cape Town in 2009. Both of these multi-faceted young performers are singer-songwriters, song producers and musicians, in addition to being: guitarists, drummers and budding business entrepreneurs.

Locnville released their first studio album, entitled Sun in My Pocket in February 2010. The album has since peaked at #1 on the RISA South African Albums Chart and within the first month of release, it surpassed Platinum status! Sun in My Pocket has so far spawned 3 singles – the title track, “Sun in My Pocket”, follow-up single “6 Second Poison” and the latest single “There”. All of these catchy tunes have enjoyed substantial commercial success and have been heard blaring from radio stations and clubs throughout South Africa. They also recently signed a worldwide deal with Sony Music International who are releasing their debut single and album in August 2010.

Rocking for South African Audiences

Considered as one of South Africa’s biggest acts of 2010, Locnville will be jetting off to London and Europe to release their album internationally. The good news for SA Locnville fans is that they will be performing two last shows before they leave.
