Eclectic Events in Cape Townon October 27, 2010
If you’re going to be spending time over the festive season in Cape Town – you’re in for a treat! With so much to do, so many places to explore and so many exciting experiences that await you, you can be sure your itinerary will be full. We wanted to whet your appetites for your trip by mentioning just a few events that will be on in the next couple of months:
If you’re a nature lover, be sure to visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – where you can spend a day amidst over 7000 species that are in cultivation. These magnificent gardens are an outdoor enthusiasts eden; covering over 36 hectares and, with winding paths and trails and specialised gardens, too! What’s more, this year Kirstenbosch is hosting a Flower Show Exhibition – where they recreate the successful Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea exhibit, centred on biodiversity.
Music lovers, be sure to check out line-up of the Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts which feature some really great live acts performing at Kirstenbosch. Just Jinjer is set to open the season on 21 November 2010 and you can also look forward to the following fantastic SA acts on the line up; Freshlyground, Mango Groove, Prime Circle, The Parlotones, Zebra and Giraffe, Jesse Clegg and Goldfish, and more!
Those looking to enjoy the finer things in life can look forward to the Whisky Live Festival which is held at the CTICC. It gives an opportunity for SA’s premium whisky market to show off their most delicious blends to you, the taster! There’s even something for the pet lovers out there; the World of Dogs and Cats Pet Expo and for the blushing moms or moms to be, look out for the Baby Expo!
From wine farms to craft markets, to incredible theatrical performances, musical extravaganzas and beach side picnics – Cape Town is the place to be! If you contact our team at the Table Bay Hotel, we would be glad to help you find out what’s on and assist you in booking tickets or getting around.
