Madame Zingara returns to the Mother City for her farewell Miracle Touron January 31, 2013
It is with great excitement that the Madame returns to Cape Town after a sell-out year on the road and, for the first time ever, two great icons of the Mother City will join forces. Madame Zingara is to be hosted by the city’s very own crown jewel, the prestigious V&A Waterfront, and it promises to be a very hot summer indeed.
“It is a very great honour to have secured one of South Africa’s premier destinations,” says Richard Griffin, producer and MD of the renowned dinner theatre production, “and, after over 180 000 standing ovations since the start of The Miracle Tour, I believe that this show is truly one of Madame Zingara’s masterpieces and possibly our best yet. “As this will be Madame Zingara’s last visit to the Mother City for some time, The Miracle Tour is a specially created and evolving tale; a unique re-energised body of work which will see the introduction of brand new acts throughout the run.
Created and directed by the formidable trio of Richard Griffin, Craig Leo and Valentina Love, the unique Miracle Tour showcases the very best in local and international talent. To mention but a few, guests will be enchanted by the masters of the ancient Icarian games from Asia, the mesmerising triple strength act from Fort Lauderdale and, a first for South Africa, The Grouchos from Spain and Argentina. The Madame has been warming up the Zulu kingdom and bringing down the house nightly with the brand new high impact vocal troupe, The Specifics, comprising four multi-talented South African vocalists, who belt out the most memorable of the old favourite hits, getting feet tapping and the party started in true Zingara-style.
Exhilarating from beginning to end, your night with the Madame is jam-packed with enthralling sensory experiences; from the fairytale characters who populate the tent and the drama, suspense and thrill of the show to a delectable four course meal prepared by gourmet chefs.
The show opens 16 January 2013, and runs nightly from Tuesday to Saturday. Tickets range from R385 – R495.
