The Groovy Energy Of The Cape Town Jazz Festivalon April 11, 2011
As manager of the Table Bay Hotel, I am often delighted to report on the busy weekends we experience at our beautiful venue. With the Cape Town Jazz Festival having just been held in the Mother City, we had an electric vibe spreading throughout the city, with a lot of the action taking place in our very own hotel. We had over 500 guests staying with us for the weekend, all in preparation for the city’s hottest event of the year.
The Package That Brought Them To Us
Dreams together with Kaya FM, put together a not-to-be-missed package that offered guests flights via Mango, transfers with Avis, 3 nights of divine accommodation with us, 2 delectable lunches at Spier and The Atlantic Grill Restaurant as well as 2 tickets to the Jazz festival. We had 105 guests coming in from Johannesburg with this package taking our occupancy to 95% for the weekend.
We’ve been involved with the Cape Town Jazz Festival for 3 years now with each year turning out to be better than the last.
Rubbing Shoulders With VIP’s
With each year getting hotter and hotter, so too does the arrangement of celebrities that pay us a visit. We had VIP’s standing around every corner with buses coming and going, taxi’s in and out, as well as Mercedes and Ferraris pulling up outside the front entrance. Everyone raved about our breakfast; they don’t call it the “best breakfast in the Cape” for nothing.
We have no doubt that everyone enjoyed their stay with us and hope they are already looking forward to the festivities planned for next year’s Cape Town Jazz Festival.
